Promises Released

Our new CD "Promises" is now available.  Check out the sound clips on Our Store page.  We are going to release one of the songs to radio.  We would like your input on which one we should release.  Email us and let us know!!

Our Adventure To Ohio

It all started about 7pm Saturday July 16th.  Everybody boarded the bus for our trip to Plain City, OH.  Little did we know what was in store for us in the next 24 hours.  Six miles after leaving home those dreaded warning lights begin to flash on the dash of the bus.  We all knew what it was but prayed that it wasn't, if you know what I mean.  Sure enough, the bus over heated again.  Now what.  What was suppose to be a relaxing ride to Ohio turned into an evening that we won't soon forget.

As we waited for the bus to cool down, we came to the conclusion that it was probably not a good idea to risk the four hour bus ride. So as we went to fire the bus and head back home, nothing.  The bus would not start.  Batteries were dead.  "Not now Lord!" "Why now?"

Three hours later and a six mile drive back home, there we were.  Now what?  We believe the Lord gives us places to play for his glory.  Why is this happening.  We were without Jesse.  We had kids to put to bed.  We had no bus.  Somehow we had to keep our obligation to Sharon Mennonite.

After a while of elaborating on the situation, and a close decision to not go, He gave us a plan.  We couldn't let Satin stop us.  We knew in our hearts that is what was happening.  Its happened before.  So we found some babysitters, hooked up the little trailer, and transfered all the equipment from the bus.  At midnight we were all home in our beds for a short nights rest.

The journey continued at 2am that same night.  We all piled in an SUV and away we went.  We arrived right on time, a little tired but we made it.  We had a great service and the people of Sharon were wonderful.

John 15:5 says "I am the vine, you are the branches, He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."  All you have to do is trust Him and be obedient and he will provide.  We could have stayed home, but we chose to be obedient and were blessed by doing so.  A story and a blessing we will never forget.

Schwartz Family Ministries

Greetings from the Schwartz Family! We just wanted to give you an update on what’s been happening with our ministry. We slowed down a little over the past year while we rented our bus to Marlin Stutzman as he ran for, and won a seat in the U.S. Congress to represent the third district of Indiana. Being our cousin and a strong man of God, we were thrilled for the opportunity to help in his campaign, which he also views as his ministry. We are excited to see people like him in Congress!

We also welcomed some new members to our family over the last year. Three baby boys; Aaron Menno Jackson, born to Jesse and Laura, Charles Bo, born to Jayson and Carma and Cooper Wayne, born to Tobey and Erin. That makes a grand total of NINE grandchildren, all of whom are six and under! We need a bigger bus!  If we keep going at this rate, we may need two busses!

Speaking of the bus, it is currently in the shop for some much needed repairs. There are some mechanical issues that have to be taken care of before we can travel again. We are looking to the Lord to meet our needs for transportation, as He always has in the past! God has given us new songs and we’re ready to share them.

Looking ahead: We are making plans for a new album and we are excited about the possibility of working with a record label out of Nashville. That would mean more traveling and more cost, however we feel this may be the right fit for our family and the direction we would like to go with our next record. We are praying for God to give us wisdom and guidance as we seek His will for us in 2011.

We would like to thank you for your support! We ask that you continue to lift us up in prayer and would like you to prayerfully consider a financial gift, if you feel led to do so, to help cover our upcoming expenses. We have seen God’s faithfulness every step of the way and know this year will be no exception.  If you would like to help by booking us at your church or event please visit the contact page for more information.

In His service,
The Schwartz Family
